Your details, kept simply.
What we collect when you order or get in touch, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 5 October 2026.
Who we are
GCB LTD, trading as Greedy Cow Bakes, is responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at 395 Hackney Road, London E2 8PP, or greedycowbakes@hotmail.com.
What we collect
- When you pre-order: your name, email address and phone number, what you ordered, your collection day and time, and what you paid. You enter your details on the checkout page run by our payment provider, Stripe, which passes them to us. Your card details go to Stripe only. We never see or store them.
- When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, and anything else you put in the form, such as your phone number, company and message.
We don’t collect anything else about you.
Why we use it
- To make your order, hand it over, and contact you if anything changes. We need this to do what you paid us for.
- To email you your order confirmation.
- To reply to your enquiry, because you asked us to.
- To keep business and tax records, because the law requires it.
We don’t send marketing emails, and we never sell your details or share them for anyone else’s marketing.
Who else handles it
A few companies help us run the shop. They only use your details to provide their service to us:
- Stripe takes payments.
- Supabase stores orders, in Ireland.
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Resend sends our emails.
Some of these companies may handle data outside the UK, for example in the USA. When they do, it’s protected by the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
- Orders: six years, because UK tax law asks us to keep sales records that long.
- Enquiries: as long as we need to deal with them, and no more than two years.
Cookies and storage
We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies, which is why there’s no cookie banner. This site only stores what it needs to work:
- Your basket is kept in your browser, so it’s still there if you leave the payment page.
- If you close an announcement banner, your browser remembers that until you leave the site.
- The map on our Find us page only loads from Google when you tap it. After that, Google may set its own cookies.
The checkout page is run by Stripe, which uses cookies to prevent fraud. Stripe’s privacy policy explains how.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it. Email greedycowbakes@hotmail.comand we’ll reply within a month. We may have to keep order records for tax purposes even if you ask us to delete them.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
